Healthcare search portal Practo has closed its Series C funding with a whopping $90M. The funding was led by Chinese investment holding company Tencent along with participation from Sofina, Sequoia India, Google Capital, Altimeter Capital, Matrix Partners, Sequoia Capital Global Equities and Yuri Milner.
With this investment the company aims to expand into new segments to cover fitness, wellness, hospitals over the next 12-18 months. In addition, Practo plans to expand to newer territories both in Indian and overseas to around 10 countries. The company further looks to acquire more companies and build new products that will help people live healthier and longer.

Earlier this year, Practo had secured $30M in Series B funding, post which the company has been expanding exponentially. Practo had increased its workforce from 400 to 1500 Practeons. In addition, the company also acquired some great companies – FitHo and Genii earlier this year. Practo also expanded its operations Geographically in the past few months by launching Practo in Philippines, expanding from 6 to 35 cities in India and further launching diagnostic labs search in 8 cities.
In just seven years, Practo has become Asia’s largest healthcare platform with over 10M searches a month.
